Hola everyone. Sorry for the blank. An update for now is that I have finally completed my university application. Most of my friends have finished their entrance exams, and I have to say, I am so proud of all of my buds who have worked so hard for this. Excited to say that I have two things I would like to report in my following posts. I'm just going to write down the titles for now; first, "三世代共同作品"(the piece by three generations); second, "Live Harinezumi no Mori".  


All that being said, now I would like to move on with my main topic of this post.
In a few hours I will be going to this exhibition, which my friend is doing.

ONE KOENJI


This is the complete picture of what we have accomplished tonight.
It was tiring in a good way. After 3hours of painting, we were just relieved that we were able to finish on time. While we were washing our hands in the bathroom I asked Julia what she thought of the painting. She gave me her grin and said she thought it was good. That's what really counts I guess.

It was such a fantastic night.
Thanks to our parents, the organisers, all the DJs, all the people that were there tonight, and finally but not least to julia, my partener.

今夜の完成品の写真です。
３時間で描きあげました。練習の時に比べて髪を１．５倍にしたのでどうなるかハラハラでした正直。でもね、とにかく楽しかったです。
個人的に私絵具大嫌いでした。だけど今回の経験を通して絵具も良い奴だなって思ってみたり。
juliaの描く絵の一ファンで、まさか自分が彼女とこのような形でタッグを組むとは思っていませんでした。こんなド素人に声をかけてくれてありがとう嬢。

そしてCAViTYの皆さん、ＤＪの皆さん、ＯＮＥの店長さん、今夜お会いしたお客さん、juliaと私の両親に感謝の気持ちいっぱいです。

今夜は幸せいっぱいぐっすり眠れそうです。

PLASTICZOOMS english translation

I'm in this really heavy jet lag right now. I literally thought it was three in the afternoon, when it was still like two in the morning.   Opening the curtains and seeing no sun-beam pouring in was quite a shock haha


What I'm going to try to do now is an English translation of a post from PLASTICZOOMS' Vo. Sho's official blog, Sleepy In The Deepsea.

     "We PLASTICZOOMS have abandoned our form as a band. We have decided that we will cultivate our activity as the brand, PLASTICZOOMS. We will not limit ourselves to music, but will launch our original designs, clothing, and visual works as well. A lot of support from our great staffs have allowed us to accomplish this innovative project, and we will like to show our great appreciation for everyone around us with their continued support.


     The six of us agreed that reforming as a brand is the best way to send out our worldly viewpoints. This is the way which suited us the best.  It will allow us to pursue the ultimate question "what is art?" both as a member of a community and as individuals.  


     I believe that great ideas are born where highly committed people gather. There are ideas that cannot be thought or acted out alone.  Because we live in a time where the word "ART" is overflowing, I feel we have been called to seek its true nature. Art is no easy thing. It is nothing that can been short shifted. It can easily get peoples' lives involved. This is what I think.  For those who cannot bare or accept the burden it offers,  our works may be too much to accept.  I enjoy getting our works evaluated from an art-level viewpoint, but I'm no believer of the feedbacks which lacks that viewpoint. What we create reflects our values.


     Today I am happy to announce the kick-off for such works; release of our three single CDs starting from December. 
     The dates for each singles' launches are December 11th, January 11th, and February 11th.  I want everybody to listen to all three songs, collect each CD and lay them out as they please. That is how much confident I am about them. The songs were carefully selected by the six of us from the collection of songs I have been making for one and a half years. The beauty which each song holds are condensed in each CD. We are creating a music video for each song. We will have Yu Wakatsuki as director for music and visual images for the music videos. He has also directed our past music video DER. Just think that PLASTICZOOM's music as the title tune and the members as the casts. We will be uploading our MVs on youtube, so please check them out."



As all translations, they lack the nuance and beauty of their original speakers words. Sorry if there are any grammatical, spelling, or any kind of mistake.
